I'd like to get a tune for my truck, but was wondering if it's possible to only have it work when you have the truck in "S" mode.

I tow a camper sometimes and have a long commute usually so I don't want to be putting the extra strain on the motor all the time.

But at the same time, I do like to go out with some friends to goof around and being able to get some more power on demand would be cool.

Do any of the tuning companies offer something like this? Any first hand experience that can vouch for or against these companies?

I have the livernois 89-93 octane tune with their soft shift transmission mod and it’s not too noticeable unless you really get on it. Sport mode is just a little firmer than the stock sport mode. The transmission was too firm for me when I first uploaded it, even after 600 miles, and they were happy to send me the modified softer shift. Very happy with it so far.

I too have a LIVERNOIS tune installed (91 - 93 Octane Performance) and with the exception of a couple things like 2nd gear available all the time, no one would ever know that the tune was there when I keep my foot out of it. Best part is I don't have to use Sport mode to have fun, just my right foot.
LIVERNOIS is a great company to work with. They go above and beyond to make sure you like your tune...
