I also had this issue. Dealer removed and apparently threw away the rubber bumper next to the seat latch. Left the hole, probably didn’t have the “fuzzy” tape or too lazy :) Seat latches with a firm slam, but now latches at least. No room to put anything back there anyway...
i installed a 10 inch shallow mount sub back there

Mine had the 3rd stopper removed at factory as well, and I got the first few rangers my dealership received when they started shipping.

Stopper or not though - I still gotta do a Hulk-smash to get it to latch. As we all know - its a strong hit, and feels like I'm going to smash through my rear windows!

back frame on the truck wall. It simple moves the bracket out 1/8th inch so the seat latch can engage and lock as expected.

Mine came with all 4 and initially I had to slam it but it seemed to get easier.

Awesome. Thanks again. Makes total sense - sounds like it's exactly what it needs. Just to be nudged a bit outward.
Time to score some washers.

Is there any connection between the latch problem and the B&O subwoofer?
Maybe it interferes?
I've only seen pictures, but I was just wondering.

No, big gap there. The seat has rubber bumpers which is what is slamming into the back of the cabin wall. Moving the latch out 1/8th inch means the bumpers don't make contact too soon.

I used these 1/8th hard plastic spacers:

Works perfect now and no need t slam it closed.

You'll need a T-30 torx
