Not long after I bought the Ranger in February, I could hear the rear seat back flopping when I would come to a stop. I didn't know about the 5G forum or the TSB resource yet, but I could see the loop on the seat back wasn't lining up with the latch that's mounted to the cab. Ford has since issued a 12 page TSB that requires lots of measuring and a replacement latch, that's apparently a continuation of earlier TSB's. That's great, but our fix wasn't that complicated. We used a 12" crescent to bend the loop until it lined up with the latch. Works great now.

Hum, I need to check mine. I wonder if that's the source of my rattle/banging going over bumps.
Seems like any easy fix the way you did it.

Grab the rear seat back and try to pull it down without pulling the release strap. It should not move until/unless you pull the release.
