I searched more info about “curve control” and there are very clear expectations how it works.
In my case that caused the slowing down.

Curve control is not tied to ACC. ALL Rangers have curve control, even the base XL without cruise control.
And while we are at it. ALL Rangers have:

curve control
pre-collision assist with auto emergency braking
passive anti-theft
advance track with roll stability control.
plus other normal safety features
Yes....
If you read up on it....
The curve control is tied into the steering and veh computer...when the system senses too much understeer it will automatically decrease the engine torque and apply braking in such a way as to not lose control.
Works with or without cruise control.
Remember, Ranger has electric steering, along with sensors that feed info to the "MA" computer.....
Remember HAL !!!

I could be wrong, but I doubt the lane keeping or ACC is smart enough to do this on the 2020.
All the tech in all the 5g Rangers is the same.
