Hey guys. Curious what everyone thinks. Id like to level my tremor, with new coilovers up front. So with that I bring a few questions.
1) would swapping just the fronts to the adjustable coilover fox 2.0 and keeping the fox 2.0 rear cause any balance issues?
2) any recommendations besides the fox 2.0 adjustables?
3) I guess 1) answers this, but would you recommend swapping all 4 to make re-sale easier?

new to this whole suspension game and all my mechanic buddies say no to spacer lifts!
thanks in advance

I’ve seen this covered somewhere on here before. If I’m not mistaken there was a fair bit of folks that were all for the spacer that’s made by one of the Ranger5 members. There were varying opinions that were good as well. I’d give it a search and see what you come up with. It is a bit of a loaded topic considering it’s a Tremor. Best of luck my man!

I would suspect the adjustable Fox shock might make a slight difference but the question come to be "is it woth it"?

What will itndo without changing the preload? Most lukely add 1 inch of lift up front.

Will all 4 be needed? I doubt it unless you are trying to lift the rear.

It's hard to get a firm answer, but my measurements versus other Rangers on the same size tires and even Grabber ATXs says that the Tremor is already 2" higher in the front over a base 4x4 Ranger.

If you look at the Ford Performance level it actually says that it is not for the Tremor. It 100% fits the Tremor, but the point is, it won't do anything, since we already are leveled by 2".

What trips people up are two things:
1: Our rear is slightly higher too, thanks to our multi leaf setup. I'm not sure exactly how much, but maybe half an inch to an inch taller than a non-Tremor.

2. Ford's press materials and subsequently journalists reciting it as fact, state that the Tremor has a .8" lift on it. That is incorrect. The larger tire size nets you around .8" of ground clearance over a base Ranger 30" tires. But people keep repeating it over and over as a fact.

I'd say just go up to a Fox 2.5" coilover and keep the rears.

If you want to level it, a 1.5" spacer from Traxx should be perfectly level. I've seen that it is perfectly level, or just .5" of rake.

2" might point your nose up unless you are running a steel bumper and a winch.

I run a 1" spacer from Ford Ranger Lifts, which granted me .5" of rake.

My math:

My Tremor one stock wheels and tires with 1" FRL full tank of gas
38 7/8 DF
39 1/4 PF
RD 39 1/4
RP 39 3/4

Stock FX4 on Tremor Wheels and Tremor Grabbers with 1/4 tank
35 3/4 DF
36 PF

FD 3.125" higher
FP 3.25" higher

Those are measuring the center of the fender at the bottom, to the ground. Centered with the wheel center cap.

Separate post:

Since we are already level, any further lift will require aftermarket upper control arms.

Members with 2" spacers have needed UCAs to get their alignment back in spec.

I have Icon UCAs.

To correct you a little bit the Tremor suspension does raise the Ranger by 1 inch alone. The tires do another inch(32 vs 30 inch tires). With that said the Ford Performance kit/front struts can lift it another inch. Is it tue best idea? To me not so much but I'm sure if someone wants to spend the money they probably will do it.

Like I said. I have measured my Tremor versus two Rangers.

One FX4 on stock suspension and Tremor wheels and tires.

Then one STX 4x4 on 265/70/17s.

My truck was 2" taller. I posted my measurements.

The stock set up drives and functions with a solid balance of comfort and capability.

"Upgrade"?

Know your true purpose and weigh the value and impact. These trucks are very well done right from the factory - engineered suspension.
