I had the transmission of my 2019 xlt ranger rebuilt at the dealer in March 2024 with 31,000 miles on the truck. It started the bucking at 10-20 mph in 3rd and 4th gear when you first drive the truck in the morning. I replaced the DPFE sensor and the bucking went away for a few days then reappeared. I am tired of this issue so I took it to the dealer Wednesday and as of Friday they still can't figure out what's wrong with the transmission.
The loaner they gave me is a 2024 f150 with 300 miles on it. I think they want me to like the f150 and buy it and trade the Ranger in. The F150 is nice but I'm not a full size truck guy.

From what I could figure, the difference is the later TSB has an expanded date range for CDF Clutch replacement, and they no longer replace the valve body, just clean it.

How many miles since the transmission was replaced?

I found that driving the truck a little more aggressive to raise shift points above 2500 RPMs helps.

The engine lugs badly at 1100 rpms in 3rd or 4th. I hate the stock shift point strategy in the 10R80 Rangers. You may want to also try tow or sport mode and see if the problem follows you.

Best of luck

It hasn't been replaced yet. Just rebuilt by the dealer. When I got the truck in jan24 I bought a 4 yr 75k warranty that covers bumper to bumper with a 250 dollar deductible from the dealer in Georgia. I'm thinking I better make sure this dealer in Florida knows this and maybe he will put in a new trans (I'll gladly pay the deductible for a new transmission)

I know driving more aggressively helps but I live in a mature neighborhood with lots of Karen's and the cop lives 4 houses down. At 67 I Don't drive aggressively unless I have to drop a duece or the wife says it's your lucky day!

I do not drive aggressively either, simply press the throttle a little harder to get shift points to ~2500 instead of 1500-2000. I do not speed or take chances.

It may take a bit of time to clear and smooth out. My neighbor is a senior NC SHP! Best neighbor I have ever had, but he will write me up!
