Ok, what wrench or combination have folks found best to remove the transmission fill plug? 6 point no doubt, but with the very tight space to work and break it lose, what are some suggestions that work best? Pivoting ratchet with a long handle, very short box wrench, etc??

Taking that cap off is the most frustrating part of the installation. Ford really didn't want us checking that fluid.

I got to it from the top with a breaker bar and several 3/4 1/2" extensions, ending with a universal joint attached to the socket. Once it broke free I tuned it by hand.

Flex head box end wrench and one stick of dynamite to shock it.

I use a small hammer to deliver tactical taps...I wonder how many people who are reaching up from below are inadvertently "tightening" it?!

I used a short socket on a flex head ratchet with a purswader bar on the ratchet accessed thru the front wheel well by lifting the rubber flap.

I tried 'from the top' and broke my 3/8" universal.
Then removed front passenger tire/rubber flap and had all the room needed to get in there with a socket and breaker bar.
Piece of cake after that!
