Many thanks to the Discount Tire folks for helping me out with choices and getting everything set up. I just got back from the shop after having the Toyo AT3’s put on. Ultimately I went with the 275/65R18 in the E load range. The weight difference between C and E was negligible and since I tow a camper most weekends over the summer I figured the extra load rating couldn’t hurt.

My Ford Performance leveling kit is here but won’t be installed until next week. These tires fit on the stock suspension with no rubbing at full lock but any suspension movement would cause a rub for sure. I’ll be babying things until I get the level kit put on.

Driving back from the shop the added height (2” diameter increase over stock) is noticeable and I was pleased that there wasn’t any road noise to speak of. Things feel planted despite the aggressive tread and with a foot of snow predicted tomorrow I expect I’ll appreciate the upgrade over stock. The butt dyno doesn’t indicate any lagging on acceleration.

Finally, I appreciate the added width (not a ton but noticeable) and think it fills out the wheel well better than the 265.

And, as all threads are worthless without pics, here you go:

This is the driver’s side at full lock to the right. There’s maaaaaaybe a half inch of clearance there.

There’s a bit of a slope at the end of the driveway but this gives a good idea on the stance now with stock suspension.

The 275’s just peek out from the wheel well but not enough to need flares.

I'm leaning this way and I'm not impressed at all how bad these Nittos wore. With only 30,000 on them and rotated every 5,000 they're just about shot.
in the same boat here just do not know what tires to get

Definitely happy with the tires so far. I took a 250 mile round trip to Northern Michigan this past weekend. There’s definitely some road drone depending on the road surface but it’s not too bad. Gas mileage using the ACC was about the same as before the tire change. I’m not sure if it’s the Fox shocks or the new tires but the truck feels better on wet roads with less wheel slip accelerating from a stop.

Plus just look at it with the new tires and the leveling kit:

I mean come on!

My god I love that color! And its probably the tires that help it feel better, also being later in the wet season helps too. I remember when I first had my duratrac's installed, i thought they were the worst wet weather tires in the world... But that was because we had just jumped into the rainy season in washington after a long dry summer, so the roads took a few weeks to clear themselves of all the oils and stuff that accumulated. But until then...I was understeering in intersections, and abs kicked in a few more times than I would have liked.

That's a good point, we're definitely nearing spring and the roads are pretty clean at this point.

And thanks, I absolutely love the color too!
