So I was just checking my maintenance history on the Ford site and there is Zero mention of the transmission rebuild or the heater box replacement.

Is it just slow to appear or does this not count in the maintenance history?

I guess that technically speaking a complete rebuild would not be a "maintenance" item.

Like, "37000 miles Maintenance Entry: Replaced transmission assembly"

I mean, I got an 8 page novelette of what was done to the truck so I figured that it would at least be acknowledged.

There is not even a mention of it being at the dealer.

When I took my truck to the other dealer, who charged me a $200 diagnostic fee for No Problem Found, it shows in the history as scheduled maintenance.

Which brings another question:

Should I approach the dealer, that charged me $200 and found no problems, with the $7k+ list of problems that were actually found?

Denis, IIRC it takes a while for it to upload to their site. The last time I got my oil changed at the dealer it was 2-3 weeks later when it popped up.

As far as the first dealer who charged you $200 I'd go back there and show them the receipts. I doubt they'll reimburse you (they'll probably just say there was nothing showing when they checked it) but I'd at least show them there was a problem and another dealer was willing to help you with it.

It's downright amazing how much stuff can break catastrophically in only 2000 miles.

I'm debating whether to drive down there or just leave an accurate review of them on their site.

I even left them the link to the TSB that detailed the transmission test.

If they had performed the test, they would have found the leakage.

I think they just drove it around the block and punted it back to me.

They most likely did just that! I know some have said they don't get paid (time allowance) for a lot of the bigger repairs. If they know the transmission was going to take more hours then they're getting reimbursed from Ford for it they probably kicked it back to you and took on easier repairs. Why work on this when they can do 10 oil changes and a couple of brake jobs for the same money? Maybe it's a blessing in disguise because they might not have had a good tech to do the repair and at least now it's been (hopefully) done right.

If they're close by I'd probably go back there and see what they say. It never hurts to ask and then leave a bad review if they're unwilling to help you out. Sadly many dealerships just don't have good customer service anymore.

When I took mine to be tested I brought a printed version of the TSB with me to show the service writer (just in case they wanted to play ignorant). Thankfully they were already aware so the mechanic didnt need it, but I wanted them to see I was serious about what I was talking about and that it was an issue already known to Ford.

lol

That's usually my first instinct but that's why I try my best to wait a while and calm down. I found it usually makes people more mad when you're nice and calm about a situation like this (or an argument) because that's what they're waiting for. But sometimes the Italian side gets the best of me and I just can't help myself. :explode::devil:

Yea I'm generally the same. I usually take the calm road, just add some sarcasm to get my point across lol.

The transmission and HVAC repair has now appeared in the maintenance history, but it is a bit less than comprehensive as to what was done.

I wonder if the dealer can pull a more detailed record?

Not sure what they did to the axle.

I'll have to look through the report to see if that's even mentioned.

Maybe you should contact Ford about the $200 misdiagnosis. That way they’re aware of their turd dealer and the dealer will catch some grief for it. Might even get your money back too.

Even $200 in FordPass points would be better than nothing.

They replaced part of mine along with the transmission rebuild.
