I have read a lot in this forum about transmission problems with the 2019 - 2024 transmissions. I have a 2019 with 55,000 miles and was wondering if there is anything I can, or should, do to try to not be one of those cases.
Change your trans fluid & filter regularly and donāt overwork the transmission. As far as updates or anything outside of normal maintenance, not sure. I changed my fluid right around 50-55k miles. Cost about $1200 for the dealership to do a fluid change/flush, filter replacement, and differential fluid. They said front diff wasāt necessary unless I tow or haul frequently. I donāt so left I it alone.
These 10r80 transmissions seem to be hit and miss. My ā21 4x4 has 66k miles on it and still runs smooth. The wifeās ā19 fx4 has 45k-ish and is starting to show signs of having issues. Harsh downshift from 4 to 3 when coming to a stop. Currently trying to get an appointment set with the dealership since itās still under warranty.
