I always put on old clothes and shoes to protect the good ones. I remove belts, watches, and wear a shirt without buttons (T-Shirt) to prevent scratching the paint. Always try to get a good grip on any tools used to keep them from slipping and damaging something or from dropping them into the engine compartment.

Solid choices. I have started wearing mechanic's gloves for most work and Venom Steel Nitrile Gloves for any greasy work. Both definitely help some with grip security, but I still drop stuff far too often. ?

Pioneer shop coat. Keeps the clothes clean, and the concealed snaps don’t scratch the paint. Only problem I have is when I wear it over shorts. Hard to tell if I’m wearing shorts... Been debating just going topless. I’m fluffy enough that I buff instead of scratching.

Be careful. I foolishly wore the Dickie's coveralls "topless" and ended up with bloody nipples. Not a pretty sight. ?

I wear mechanics gloves almost all the time. Tired of busting my knuckles.
