I’ve had sprays leave those little wet dots too, and it drove me nuts. What helped me was switching to dry scent options instead of anything misted. Some of the incense and backflow styles you can find on nothingbutscents.com give a clean, lingering smell without touching the surfaces at all. I just let one burn in the garage with the doors open, then air the truck out, and the scent sticks nicely without marking anything.
