both methods suck and cause lots of damage.

The big difference is oil is taken from ground, then burned and turned into pollution in the atmosphere, never to be reclaimed.

Lithium and other precious battery metals can be recycled and recycling is preferred since the ore is already purified in the battery and just needs separated and cleaned to be re-used

Yes that one does look better. However, its basically the same GM prototype kit that uses a Bolt motor and sits the battery in the cargo box/bed. The production kit will HAVE to have a battery that goes somewhere under the floor/cargo area.
At least the GM kit HAS a battery. A complete drivetrain (battery, inverter, and motor) is much more appealing than just a motor.
