Another problem is everyone loves to cite "experts" an ignore the actual effects on peoples lives.
I saw a video where there was a news report out asking people on the street about the current economy. They asked truckers at truck stops about the price of fuel. They gave real experiences they were having. Then the snobby elites in the media were trashing everyday people expressing their concerns an experiences an started pointing to the "experts" about how great everything is. Don't believe what you see, believe what we tell you.

IMO many of these experts pick an choose the data to support their preferred side of an issue. When you point out the side of research or findings that disagree with their point they minimize it or try to explain it away.

One problem with research is most of it is funded by grants an gov money an I say there is pressure to support their preferred side of the issue.
uh huh. it's all a conspiracy. don't believe the experts, only believe the people selling the conspiracy theory because they're the ones who would never lie.

I believe the experts... and I can also off the top of my head site 10 instances labelled as "Conspiracy Theories" that have proven to be correct... going back over 50 years.

It is simply too easy to obfuscate facts, and bend them to any narrative that we choose to support. Or to simply out and out lie. The Nazi regime perfected the practice, and after WWII the USA brought over high level intelligence and SS Officers directly out of Nazi prison camps that helped design and form the basis of the 3 letter US Intelligence agencies. President Eisenhower in his last address before leaving office warned of the threat. That's not the only Nazi specialists that they brought over, but I'll leave that discussion for another day.

FWIW, the CIA came up with the term "Conspiracy Theory". It has proven to be quite effective over time.

Every court case has "experts" sworn in to tell the truth an proceed to contradict each other. You can buy any "expert opinion" you want. It's about picking an choosing the data.

What's the difference between a conspiracy theory and a fact? About 2 weeks

If you're that cynical, why bother living at all? It's hard to believe, but some people actually give a shit.

Why live when you just obey the limits and guidelines imposed by people that know nothing about you or what you're dealing with. I definitely give a shit about things going on. I have six grand kids an I fear they're going to live a life with far more restrictions than I grew up with.

My pet peeve is the whole cow farts thing. While I agree that burning a lot of fossil fuels in a short period of time is a bad idea for the environment, cow farts get their carbon from grass that pulled it from the air. The methane produced is from bacteria already on the grass. So even if the cows didn't eat the grass, almost the same amount would be released by the decaying grass.

"Fossil Fuels" may not be accurate. I lived in Shreveport, LA and had friends who worked the oil fields. Old wells that long ago went dry (as in 50+ years) are periodically retested and the oil wells are again found to be productive.

The Russians came up with both the biogenic and the the abiogenic theories of where oil comes from.

Recent discoveries of vast quantities of oil on Saturn's Moon Titan give weight to the abiogenic oil theory, suggesting the oil is excreted from deep in the earth and rises to the surface. Earths oil reserves are hundreds of times lower than those of Titan.

Titan is 50% larger than our moon and 80% more massive. As far as we know, Titan does not have and never had life.

It is earth prelife.

No life, no biogenic origin = No fossil fuels.

One last thought about burning "fossil fuels". The planet is now greener due to the increased CO2 in the atmosphere. CO2 is now right around .035% - .04% of our atmosphere.
