All those dealer installed options and accessories, spray on bedliners, running boards, mudflaps etc do not include installation, and the ubiquitous "Shop Supplies" added charge. $699 for a spray on bedliner would reflect about 2hrs shop time for prep and labor, and of course , Shop Supplies.
True for sure. My dealer uses the local Leonard Building Supply & Truck Accessories company for the job. I knew exactly what was going on there. I was able to add it to my build sheet today so it would be done, and done. I won't have to worry about chasing the best price, and wait forever to get it done now. EZPZ.

Go for blue. I have it and love it. Chrome wheels really look good with it.
Stan, that was the CEO's 2nd choice with a little nudging from me. So, Lightning Blue she will be. :like:

Congrats on the order! I also have a blue Scab and the first thing I did was a spray in bedliner the day after I got it! Welcome to the family!

John, dang that looks great. As they say, "Imma fixing to play hell", but I've got to ask my CEO about a couple mods I saw on this forum. She's probably gonna make me stop looking on here, but I've gotta try. ?:like:

Thank you!! It came a long way from an XL STX! But it’s exactly what I need and nothing more! Good luck with CEO Approval! If you want to make a strong case I recommend fordrangerlifts.com! Got a 3 inch level for about 200 bucks. ?

Finally, it took me until just now to understand your were talking about "CEO" as in true life boss and not someone who heads up a company you work at. It all makes sense now.

Sorry, must be oldtimers disease!!!

PS - begging might help, especially if you by the oh so cushy tailgate damper to help her...:lipssealed:

John,

I might recommend one step more than Terry suggested. Ratchet it up to grovelling to the CEO.

It's better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission. ?

That's why the wife and I have separate accounts. She does what she wants, and I do what I want. No negotiations!! LOL!! We do also have a joint account for bills, etc.

That's the best way to do it, it allows both to have their own spending money. I always tell my girlfriend "what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine". lol

Groveling will work, but I always preferred, ahem, butt kissing.

My biggest set back is I've been with this good woman for 42 years. Over those years I have used, with varying amounts of success, begging, groveling, the mandatory kissing of the booty, and bowing the the Queen. I think she's onto to my M.O. by now............

But I'm not beyond pulling out all the stops, and postrate (not prostate :) ) myself. At this point in a marriage a man can't have many scruples left.:crackup:

Truly she's a bit of a gearhead herself after hanging around me all these years. And, she's a really good sport when it comes to my ventures in cars, and trucks. But, I can hit her rev limiters from time to time.
