I said to myself, If I ever had anything happen to my '09 Ranger, and had to get anther new truck, I would of gotten a Taco. A Frontier would of been next if Taco didn't pan out. The reason I would of done Taco was due we've had great luck with our '08 Toyota Prius we have now. When the Ranger came out, did a little reading a lot of review on the Ranger been great, and lot of Taco owner switching over to the Ranger!! So I didn't even bother with test driving a Taco!

I had spreadsheets and tables.

Watched endless video comparisons...

Clearance, turning, wheelbase, beds etc etc.

I test drove the Ranger and Tacoma 3 times each.

I was upfront about my intentions and asked both dealers to give me their best price as the cost was going to be A factor but not THE factor.

Told the Ford guys where they had to be to get my business.

They couldn't do it.... I say, well unless you have a great financing deal, I'll have to go back to Toyota....

They had started the 0% financing that week, and the salesman didnt even know.

Well with 0% vs a 3% loan (what I expected) the overall cost was within $500.... so I got my end cost afterall.

And thats how I ended up in a Ranger.
