She wants something to seat 5 people and some cargo, but not a trunk. Electric or PHEV. Nice, no entry level. Leather, full tech, etc.

Thanks. No trucks, I will have that. Full SUV? Probably no. Station wagon-like, yes. I'll look at the list. Budget? 50K, give or take.

added: Timeframe? This year, perhaps, but not this summer, obviously. Hopefully by fall or winter.

Tom how soon does she need/want one? I would bet the Bronco Sport will be coming out with one very soon. Ford is really going in that direction and I cant see it being to much longer before all their lines offer either a full EV or PHEV.

Need? Years. But, for taxes she would like one this year. After I bought a Ford (after never owning American) she decided that she should expand her horizon, so to speak, so Ford is on the table.

In the $50K-ish range, the Tesla Model Y is the market leader for an EV. The Toyota RAV4 Prime PHEV is a strong competitor, but just entering the market in small numbers. We just bought a Prius Prime for about $25K, but it is a compact “nerdmobile” with a tight rear seat and little cargo capacity.

Thanks. Tesla is probably off the table, but I'll look and ask. She said no to Toyota, but I will also look cause I don't hate Toyota.

Have you looked at a Mach-e? still has the full $7k tax rebate. The 12" screen is cool and the interior looks nice in the one I seen.

We have, actually. There was one on the showroom when I bought the truck. It's nice. I don't think she would go that way for size though.

What color is she looking for? You should see if anyone local has one in Area 51. The CG pictures on Fords site doesn't do it any justice. I saw a Bronco Sport in that color and it is really nice! So nice I'm now thinking of getting it on my full size Bronco. Now I have to decide from Carbonized Gray, Area 51 or OJ White.

She likes black. When we (she) first bought she said either black, or white. But now she wants black. I think we can work with the color.

Honda Clarity. Looks a bit goofy, but it's a great around town sedan with large back seats. I use almost no gas driving to work, its dead quiet, and its not that expensive.
