Can someone tell me how long the Nav 2 21 took to install via USB? Don’t have any long trips planned and was wondering how long my truck would have to idle to get it done.

My recollection when I did the nav update was it took an hour.

I HAVEN'T DONE ANY UPGRADES TO SYNC SINCE 2019, BECAUSE, WHEN I DID TRY TO UPGRADE I GOT NOTHING BUT SCREEN FREEZE EVERY TIME I STARTED THE TRUCK SO REALLY, WHAT'S THE POINT??

If you use a 10 amp or more charger on the battery and disable auto stop in the menu, you don't need to run the engine to update the maps.

I installed the update in the Ranger tonight on the way to dinner with some friends. Got home a little while ago and attempted to upload the log file. Fails for me as well.

Comparing the file from the RS that uploaded fine recently and I see some differences. Mainly a lot of the responses are "Blank" in the Ranger log file for things like ECU checksum, direct Config DIDs. Different line feeds for some of the tags: On-Line Diagnostic Database Reference Number, ECU Core Assembly Number, ECU Delivery Assembly Number. Each line ended with only a Line Feed instead of a Carriage Return + Line Feed.

After just fixing the line feed issues in the file it uploaded fine. Will see if in a day or two the update available for the Ranger clears or not.

i assume you mean the auto shut off feature in the menu and do you just run the truck in accessorie mode? Push the start button without hitting the brake after the charger is hooked up?

No issues since upgrading.
Yesterday I did have issues getting GaiaGPS to display a full map on the screen. Not sure if that's a Gaia issue, IPhone issue, Car Play issue, Ford Issue or what.

Waiting to see if the site will show I've installed the updated, so far it still does not reflect the update and I think it was updated almost right away when I did the RS's log upload. If your "fix" works, is the info we need to change/add something that you could share with us or is it specific to the vehicle? I see some of the "blanks" you mentioned. I also have two lines that have tons of "0"s in the line that go clear across the page.

Currently on Sync 3.4 ver 22200. After upgrading to the previous version, my Samsung phone would no longer connect about 75% of the time. A week later, 22200 showed up. My phone now connects again, but text messages do not come through.

Mine were sketchy for the first 1-2 days. Now after driving it some more all my texts have come through and my phone is now connecting all the time. ?

As I replied to the last request for more details, I'm not going to bother sharing them unless I find that they work. As of right now, the online database is still showing my Ranger as being out of date.

Yes, that is correct.

Worked great. Only took 42 minutes and battery charger worked great in ACC mode.
