You said you just bought the truck. How many miles have you put on it? Bran spankin new tires are slick as hell when before breaking in. Top that off with what the OP said about oil residual making roads slick and that’s going to be some mighty challenging driving especially in a truck your just getting use to.
Hey Trigga...truck has about 1,500 miles so far ....tires however have ~ 12k + on them I was told. I bought them and the 17" rims as takeoffs from a guy and his 2020- to upgrade from my 16" steelies . Looks to be true , gobs of tread left . Who knows might have been Florida " ice" as I stated earlier... I know I will probably be getting larger Grapplers or the like down the road . Just hope these wear out quick lol.

I just bought my truck and experienced my first Fl. downpour in it yesterday . W O W do these stock Duelers SUCK in the rain / wet ? Anybody else notice this ?
I just replaced my stock Bridgestone Dueler H/T 255/65/17's with the same size Continental TERRAIN CONTACT H/T's and what a difference! So much quieter and not as bouncy. They do make much better contact especially on wet roads. Those bridge stones were so slippery. If I hit the turbo even slightly with the Bridgestones she would spin on me. I love these Continentals.
Continental has a 60 day satisfaction guarantee. They also make the same tires with an A/T and it's rated just as good for wet traction. Florida is here too! I found discount auto had the best deal going on with their best warranty. And I like that they are everywhere in case of traveling and need warranty work. I'll put those continentals on my wife's CRV and what a difference over those Hankooks! So much quieter smooth riding and better gripping in the rain! With the turbo in that car it was hard to take off on wet roads from a stop not to mention the cornering and breaking on wet roads but with the continentals of a different style they were awesome. Continental only makes the Terrain Contact for our size tires. The H/T's are extremely hard to get at the moment but the A/T's are not. It's a production issue. Those Bridgestones only had 13,000 miles on them.
