I guess I should be thankfull WV has no front license plate but these damn window stickers be clashing bad with my truck , wtf can't that be an extra sticker on your rear plates and get it out of the windshield ?

could be worse. in NH we have inspection sticker int he corner, registration sitcker on the license plates, an ez pass near the rearview mirror, a dump stick on the passenger side.

At least it isn't NY where there is an inspection sticker and a registration sticker in the corner.

Too much , tie it all In to me plates somehow , then when Mr. Officer is behind me , he can see it all in one spot ...

Annual Wisconsin State Park stickers on the left corner MN on the right. QuickLane oil change go in the upper left. We live near two WI state parks and one MN that we like to hike or e-bike around. Every year WI DNR asks for suggestions on how to improve the system and every year I suggest a special license plate (why not? we have 53 different ones to choose from already!) and a validation sticker that would go on the front plate (vehicle reg. mo/yr stickers already on the back plate) Less peripheral distraction for us OCD's and a potential tourism plug for our parks.

this is what NC does. when you get your inspection, the shop loads it into a database that connects to your vehicle registration. you can't get your registration until you have the inspection.

Nice ...ima have my governor talk to your governor... I may now choose my retirement state based strictly on the amount of crap they make me stick on my windshield...

Like Nate said North Carolina makes it easy. Get the car inspected, then pay my property taxes on the vehicle, and renew it online. And, no color clashing stickers to worry about.

BTW @NotBudule, I'm not sure our "now" Governor even knows how it's done. LOL

There has been a bill every year for the past few years to do away with these in WV. But politicians love their taxes, so it just gets stalled.

Glad we don't have annual inspections. Never would have passed those in my youth.

Man Arizona only has one plate and one sticker that goes on that one plate... And I was annoyed when Utah had two plates and two stickers on the rear plate. ?

Colorado got rid of their similar emissions stickers decades ago. Not tied into plate, but required for valid registration.

I think Texas does this. Even toll roads are linked to your plates.
Here in Louisiana, we get a 'safety' inspection ever 2 years for $20. Most places check only lights, wipers, windshield and horn. Registration is every 4 years for $40, for trucks, 2 years for cars.
You can tell we have low fees just by driving on our state and parish roads.
