I have an almost identical pic of my oldest at about the same age doing the same thing with my red Nissan Pathfinder I owned at the time.
He's now in his last year in university, they grow up in almost an instant- treasure these times!

I remember washing my dad's truck and having a great time. A red F150 with the inline 6. My kids love washing mine as long as they get the hose.....and spray everyone around them.

They still do a pretty good job.

That’s the thing about child labour. The rate is next to nothing. Their hands are small and thus cut out for some of that detail work. And their height is an advantage for getting at the majority of road grime.
