So I haven’t had a chance to do any measurements but I’m wondering if there maybe room to mount a small 22. Something along the lines of a Henry AR-7 or a 10-22 takedown.
A trigger lock should make it legal and I just like the idea of having it back there just in case.

And I like the idea of you having it!
Good idea.
That AR-7 should do well vertical on the driver side behind the seatbelt.

What space?
I know but I think if I moved the jack to a seperate location like a tool box there would be plenty of room. Maybe a coupe of Quick Fist type mounts to hold it in in place? I have a couple of other projects in line ahead this one but its coming up quickly. My Softtoper should be here tomorow and after that my platform/toolbox will be priority but after that my Marlin and or Henry will be permantly be mounted back there.

Not a 100% solution but it is close. The seat latched fine and it doesn’t appear to rub anything. I still have some more things to check and make sure everything will clear as it should but if the AR fits the little Marlin ought to be fine.

if you don't have the factory subwoofer there's a hell of a lot more space back there than people think. I keep a tool roll and a tool bag, an air compressor, battery jump pack, a small hatchet, and an extra poofy jacket back there all the time.

I keep my 10/22 Takedown in the corner by the back seat, standing up. (under/behind the seat belt) Then I stuff a rolled up towel in that pocket which locks it all in securely.

I would like to hollow out the rear seat, place a molded carbine mount with push button lock. The real space is inside the seat if you remove the backing. Might have to restructure the support frame.

I just checked underneath the rear seat. That seems much more plausible as it has no low hanging cross frame that gets in the way that would be perfect. Lift the seat, your carbine attached under the seat and somewhere a push button lock to release. Gotta do some research for a company that could do the custom work, but I think the space would work out best than behind the seat because I have the sub woofer there.
