So I stopped at the Ford dealer today and got THEIR estimate...

More than double ???
And I went over EXACTLY what the other shop was gonna do and they agreed (i didn't tell them how much other shop was )
Actually it's even $100 more because I just saw they forgot the 4x4 sticker ...

Might as well just total it, thing is barely drivable as is.

The transmission is definitely shifting funny now, AND the engine oil smells like gas ??? Plus I noticed the tailgate just "drops" now instead of slowly lowering... also the rear of the truck seams much higher than before as I can barley reach into the bed now , a quick tape measure shows one side worse than the other but I will bring all this up with the body shop and my insurance agent, Mr. Asmodeus...

Well i drop her off at the body shop in the morning and drive off in a rental... it will be VERY TRAUMATIC !!! ... for both of us i expect...

I did clean her up this evening, I know they gotta take the rear bumper off so I pressure washed really good underneath to limit falling debris in somebody's eyes ( I hate when that happens!!!)...

I'd actually be ok with that... aggressively driving my weiner through traffic , coming to a screeching halt right before "rear ending" the Tacoma in front of me , sounds like fun !
