I have a 2019 FX4 and I only have a single USB port below my stereo. I mostly see that the new Rangers have two. The issue I'm having is that if my phone is not mostly charged, I get an error message that says, "device requires too much power, disconnect device". I was hoping not to have to plug into the 12v port but looks like i have to since it won't reliably charge my iPhone XR. I was hoping to simplify it and just plug the USB cable directly into the truck. I have the lowest Sync. No touch screen or anything. My Bluetooth is set up so not sure why i get messages about the phone on my stereo display. I just want it to charge. It just seems that charging is not the purpose of the single USB port that I have. I did some research and found that quite often the USB ports in vehicles are often under powered. I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues or has any real information. Thanks very much
