Awesome rides in here! Trucks and bikes! Really gives me an idea as to how I want to carry my bikes. I'm thinking about a roll-up tonneau with a hitch mounted rack, that seems to be a pretty popular setup.

Anyone in the Western Washington want to ride?

I'm curious about what tailgate pads you all are using. I have a Supercrew and eventually I'm going to get a hitch and platform rack but I think I want to just run a pad for now since it's inexpensive. What pads fit best with the wider topped aluminum tailgates? I have seen a couple installed on newer trucks that just didn't look like they fit well at all. I'm thinking about getting an EVOC pad since I can open up the middle flap for camera access.

The small Dakine pad I used until I put a shell on my truck fit the wide tailgate well. No camera flap, but there is a tailgate handle opening

So I picked up a bike tailgate pad and the first thing I noticed was the possible wear on the bottom of the tailgate from the straps. This "SUV/Truck" edge trim was $10 at O'Reilly's and it fits perfectly on the lower edge of the tailgate. It even matches the black trim on the XLT very well.

Some good looking bikes in here! Makes me want to ride again...last time I was on a mountain bike I broke my collarbone lol. Have a Snugtop on our FX4, so I'll probably use the Kuat rack on my Jeep whenever it's time to shuttle with the Ranger.

You should get back out there, DSH!

I’m currently nursing an ankle that I badly sprained in a crash on a wet, slimy wooden bridge 9 weeks ago. I’ve done 3 mellow rides this week...these are the first rides of the year for me. I’ve been sticking to our neighborhood trails and riding a couple of my rigid bikes in an attempt to take it easy with the ankle for the time being. Our local trail named Poison Oak Alley, lived up to its name and gave me some itchy spots across my shins and arms, but it feels damn good to be back out there!
