Short bed sleeping platform

I'm brand new to the group. Sorry I couldnt find what I was looking for but does anyone have any experience on making a platform to just go over or clear the wheel wheels to lay down a good air mattress?

Thank you, I plan on getting some after my spray in liner gets put in next week. I have a camping trip coming up before I get the decked system so I was looking for some short term ideas.

I bought the decked and not overly impressed. It wastes a TON of space, especially behind and besides the ammo cans. they could easily be 50% bigger in volume

Coleman Comfort Smart Camping Cot fits perfectly. The last leg sits on the tailgate. It was thin enough that my wife and I were able sleep with two cots side by side. We had a bed tent which also worked perfectly.

On balance I think I still like it and would buy again. got real tried of stuff flying round back of my previous F150 and trying to reach stuff at front. just really surprised that so much space was wasted. Plus I have a whole 4x5 area on top (as long as I'm not runnign a toneau or need it secure
