Cold start is noticeable..but after 30 seconds it lowers. It’s not overpowering at all driving unless you get on it of course. We see about the other vids.

This is one bad ass truck. Its basically what I want mine to be except I'm probably going to throw a topper on it like Duke posted above for camping. But yeah...this is perfection. Good job.

I've posted up in some other threads already but I suppose another post couldn't hurt. Picked up my Shadow Black STX FX4 a few days before Christmas. Just hit 1000 miles today (but the truck had 400ish on it from a dealer trade when I got it). Just for fun I posted a picture of the only other vehicle I've ever bought brand new. Back in 2010 I got the Frontier which was a great truck but it didn't make sense for me to own at the time. I missed it though and knew Id eventually be back in a truck after almost a decade of driving Jeeps and a few various German cars. The spec between my old Frontier and the new Ranger are pretty close, but the Ranger is hands down a much better truck in every way, except one. The bed of the Ranger is really lacking compared to the Frontier's tie down tracks. Nissan really nailed it with those and the Toyota ones are good too. I wish Ford paid more attention to the bed of the truck. Other than that its a great ride!

Thanks Mike. I see you have a black supercab too. Nice choice. :)

My wife REALLY took care of me with this truck purchase. She said to get whatever I wanted. Couple grand on tires and wheels: no problem. Couple more on tune and level: no problem. Roll bar, red tow hooks, etc: No problem. I have a few graphic updates but don't plan on much beyond that. Plan being the key word. :)

Well now you're just rubbing it in. Are you by any chance a fan of Marty's truck from BTTF?

I watch that movie all the time (and I'm 63:crazy:) but that wasn't in my thoughts when I built my truck in my head. I like black on a vehicle, and being as I live on a former horse farm on a dirt road, a 4x4 was needed. Once again, the wife said to get what I wanted (rubbing it in a little more) so I added FX4. I was just trying to get an off road look with the roll bar, but it did end up like Marty's truck (which was a Toyota if I remember). Any way, I'm being careful around 88 mph. :)

When I was washing the truck yesterday I saw something odd. The light hit the inside of the rear door jamb and I saw a lot of blue metallic in the paint that doesn't show up on the exterior of the vehicle. Any ideas why my door jamb looks like this? Does anyone else's?

Mike, I had to go look at my doorjamb, and sure enough, I have the blue flecks. Surprised me. Not sure what that's all about, but hasn't bothered me to this point. I had to put a flashlight on it to see the flecks. I'll probably feel different once the sun comes out in the spring, and the flecks are more visible.

Well its only noticeable if your rear door is open and you're looking for it I suppose. It doesn't bother me I just thought it was odd to see. I'm glad it's not just my truck like this I would be worried it was repainted or something.

Picked this up to take the place of the brown 96 F150 behind it. I bought the 96 late in 95 so I’ve been using it for 26 years. While I fix what breaks when needed I just wanted a new hunting truck. My wife’s begging me to not sell the 150 she feels it’s like one of the family but I’m more pragmatic.
