My 2021 Ranger failed inspection due to the passenger side seatbelt not retracting. I have no idea how this got like this with 11k miles and rarely a passenger and no collisions. I'm suspecting the inspection station did it. But in an effort to get it retracted, I started to remove the seatbelt assembly as I saw in some YT videos. But I ran into a connector that just wouldn't cooperate and I found no videos for this particular style of connector. See images. This is not the connector but it's just like the one on the belt pretensioner. I since made an appointmet with Ford as I just learned the seatbelts have a 5 yr warranty. My 3 year just ran out. Either way, this thing is bugging me. I saw videos of different types of these connectors and they all tell you to look for a little gap to pry the locking piece up so you can disconnect it. And before all the jokes about "What's a seatbelt?", this thing is holding me up from getting my inspection sticker which is now over due. I guess I'll hear "What's an inspection?" LOL! Thanks.

I would have to get my hands on it to be sure - but it appears to have 3ea locking tabs.
This is a (Push-On) connector
Carefully unlock the circled locking tab and then there are 2 small slots for a small flat tip screwdriver to unlock the side locking tabs - once all are unlocked - pull straight up.

NOTE: any yellow colored connector = SRS (Airbag System)

So pay attention to this warning

No SRS Fault Present (with ignition ON, airbag warning indicator stays off after prove out)

WARNING: Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute to deplete the backup power supply. Ignition must remain OFF until repair is complete. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury or death in the event of an accidental deployment.

Turn the ignition OFF and wait one minute before continuing vehicle service.

Yeah....I'm done messing with it. Was more curious than anything at this point. Thanks for your reply.
