My 2021 Ranger failed inspection due to the passenger side seatbelt not retracting. I have no idea how this got like this with 11k miles and rarely a passenger and no collisions. I'm suspecting the inspection station did it. But in an effort to get it retracted, I started to remove the seatbelt assembly as I saw in some YT videos. But I ran into a connector that just wouldn't cooperate and I found no videos for this particular style of connector. See images. This is not the connector but it's just like the one on the belt pretensioner. I since made an appointmet with Ford as I just learned the seatbelts have a 5 yr warranty. My 3 year just ran out. Either way, this thing is bugging me. I saw videos of different types of these connectors and they all tell you to look for a little gap to pry the locking piece up so you can disconnect it. And before all the jokes about "What's a seatbelt?", this thing is holding me up from getting my inspection sticker which is now over due. I guess I'll hear "What's an inspection?" LOL! Thanks.
