SCT X4 Tune Files

Hello everyone! New here to the ranger life and was seeing if any one could help out. I used to have a Ford Focus that i bought a X4 for but have since totaled it. Luckily i was able to get the tuner out and have SCT unmarry it for me since i couldn't do it before they took the car away. I was also able to use it for my 2019 Ranger i just picked up, which after reading about how to use it to turn off the start/stop feature, i had to put it on! Only thing that sucks is i only have the preloaded tunes from SCT which I've read, are not the best. So i was seeing if anyone could help with that with out charging me the price for a whole other tuner to make a basic tune. I'm really just looking for a tune that'll help smooth out the shifts and maybe give it a little more power. Thanks for any help!

IIRC you can still use your SCT tuner but you will have to purchase a tune (or tunes) from another company for it to work with your Ranger. The tunes are set to your vehicles Vin and can't be used on another vehicle.

FWIW. I purchased an SCT X4 from Steeda in 2013 for my Focus ST that came with a custom tune. I latter purchased a 15 Mustang and Steeda provided a tune to use with the same X4. I latter purchased a tune from Unleashed for the Mustang and used the same X4. When I purchased my 21 Ranger I went back to Unleashed and had a tune with custom transmission tuning and used the same X4 again.

BTW. Unleashed is considered to be the best tuner for improved shifting characteristics and Torrie's customer service is second to none.

Appreciate the response! I have read that unleased is popular. I really don't want to pay another 250 for a tune but if i have to then it is what it is. Thank you for the info tho!
