Rockford 165-s install

Curious if anyone has installed these speakers on their ranger. Primarily the tweeters.

I bout this set up for the great reviews and supposdely plug and play. Well they absolutely are not plug and play. And I dont like splicing wires; but I have to for these tweeters.

So if anyone has installed theres:

1) How did you splice them?
2) How did you mount them in the cover. I have them in there but they aren't "mounted" just jammed in there. I cant see how else to mount them

I didn't use the stock tweeter wiring, I just tucked it out of the way. I ran a new wire from the adapter harness up to the tweeter.

Well I thought about doing that too; but wasnt sure if that was the proper way to do it. According to crutchfield; you had to splice. So guess what i did. cut the stock connector off and wired the tweeters lol Good news is I found out what was what and got it on the first try.

Purple/Orange was positve
Yellow/Orange was negative

Found that on a ford taurus wiring diagram. I mean they work so I assume its accurate lol

For this it’s super simple. You literally just have to twist the two together and cap off.
