Hi fellow Ranger and Rangerettes

This is kind of a continuation from previous posts.....today I had the Kicker Key 200.4 amp and Focal IC Ford 165 components (front), and Focal IC 165 coxials(rear) installed today by a really good local car stereo shop. There was enough room in the back of the factory 8'' head unit to install the kicker key amp which made it really convenient and of course its no where to be seen. The Focal 165's sound amazing. Without a sub right now, and we these Focal's installed there is some noticeable bass, the separation and clarity is amazing. The kicker amp definitely had enough juice to power these speakers. The next thing is a powered sub...if anyone has any recommendations please let me know. I was thinking of the Kicker 10" hideaway as I saw that some have been able to put one behind the back seat.....after listening to the focal's I have been impressed that I was looking at the Focal Powered IC 8" sub....anyon have any experience with the Focal powered sub? Any how..thanks!!

Since you had a good set of speakers installed already -- I would highly recommend having a custom sub installed below the rear seats and not doing a flat under seat style sub-- you will only be disappointed. I sold my kicker hideaway a few months after I installed it because it just added a lot of mid-bass that I didn't feel was necessary.
