I need to replace my on door front door weather strip. I purchased it from Benny, but I need a little guidance from someone that has done this. Any suggestions? Again, this is the one that mounts on the door. My only real question is, do I need to disconnect that arm that has the position indents in it that are used to hold door open? See attached image and the area I have circled. Also, it is possible to work this seal on from outside of the door without having to worry about taking this arm off?

Update. Yes, that arm has to be loosened to do this replacement. However, replacing the weatherstrip is very easy. The only challenge I had was tightening the screw for the arm back down. I actually partially stripped the head, so with a little creative hammering of my bit into the head of the screw a little deeper I was finally able to complete the job. It is shocking how tight that screw is into the pillar. Hopefully this will stop the last bit of wind whistle I was getting. I corrected most of the sound by simply, and slowly, adjusting the door. I wish the 1st owner of the truck had had their dealer do this replacement and door adjustment, but they didn't, I am way past warranty, so...

Cool, yes 18 Ft Lbs. is hard to hit with some torx head screws, a mechanics trick is to use a dab of valve grinding compound for extra bite and then use extra pressure when torquing the bolt / screw.
Or use a speed handle for greater pressure if not torquing it to specs.

A final follow-up. I have been out and about this afternoon running some errands with my wife. Happy wife, happy life. :) Anyway, to the point, the remaining wind whistle I was hearing is gone. The deformity on mine was in the upper corner of the front door where it meets the rear door. The original weather seal was not made correctly, so at this point the seal did not even touch the body of the truck for about 3 inches. Hence, wind noise. The new one seals completely.
