I want to replace the open type differential on my RWD 2020 Ranger Lariat with an Eaton Truetrac. Does anyone know the axle spline number for the 2020 RWD Ranger? Also, will this change cause any issues with traction control? Thanks...

You can't! The housing is one piece, in that the third member is not standalone. The only way, is to replace the complete-one piece unit (like the one in the FX4), with you adding the control circuitry. You're looking at about $1,200 with labor. I've been there, but didn't do that!

What he’s trying to say is the ring gear is welded to the carrier. You’re already buying an aftermarket carrier so you’ll just have to also buy a new ring gear and pinion and install kit and have it all set up. It’s a Dana 44 which is probably one of the most modified axles on earth.

First off you have to find out which differential it is. It could be a M200 or an M220. After you figure that out you have to find out the spline count. For the m220 I have yet to see an after-market differential that is not a locker available. I can't speak for the M200 since my truck is equipped with the 220. Also chances are you will have to get a new ring gear and pinion along with install kit in order to do so. It will be pricey but it is possible

Great Idea! A friend runs those in front and rear on his Jeep Cherokee XJ and loves them They have provided reliable trouble free service to him for about 5 years.

I'd ask Eaton. As the engineer and manufacturer of the unit they should know every detail on the application of their product.
