I see no need for them, but with a "vertically challenged" wife I have to have them. :)
Yes. My wife loves them. She is almost 5'4" I like the look of them and I have used them to help me wash the top of the truck.

@SuperBford Bryan, you married a tall woman bud. She towers 2 inches over mine.

I don't have them and don't like them. Ill never run them.
They are rather ugly IMO. They do get packed with snow. Ive also seen them bent or ripped off because a 300lb person put their whole weight on it. Granted those were a bit rusty underneath.

^These don't get slick in the winter. I have gotten out of trucks with cheapo running boards in the winter and slipped and fell. Go from standing to spread eagle in milliseconds. No joke.
You have never seen a Ford running board bend because a 300lb person put all their weight on it. Ever. You can pick the entire truck up by strapping on to a factory running board, even on the F150’s. They are beastly.

Body rust bud. Running boards are only as strong as what they mount to.

Hell No!! Leave them on!! These are one strong set of factory running boards. Take it from a man with experience. The entire weight was on the drivers side corner of the step bar and it never crushed. Practically the only thing that saved the entire drives side. I was going with an aftermarket set.... Not after this I'll put that money in a bumper and winch ?

That is one deceptively deep hole...

Impressive and I love your setup but I doubt they ever salt the roads for snow in Florida. Up here we get 300 to 400 inches of snow a year and they throw tons of salt on the roads. It'll rot the rockers off any steel truck in a few years if you don't wash and underbody flush it regularly. Salt and the brine they use will get between the boards where they mount to the rockers and wreck havoc and just speed up the process. Here's some pics of examples of what happens if you don't stay on top of washing the salt off.

Yup, I lived in Albany NY for a few years. I know this all too well. Notice the usless Stang under the snow. When you get rott that bad you know you've kept your ride way too long and should have traded it in. The very reason Florida and Southwest vehicles last much longer. No thank you keep the salt and I'll keep my running boards intact for years to come, bawaaaa
