There appears to be a tube cantilever that extends to the frame for a mounting point.. you can kinda see it in one of the lower angles pictures.

Hope this answers your question.. I think it’s pretty well made just based on pics though.

It flips up for that exact reason I’ll ad a photo later today

Have you run that design past the gestapo? I know that motorcycles that have flip up plates get the stink eye for sure, if that plate moves at all I think you might have problems. I think that the bumper could be just as cool with the plate mounted on either side of the hitch and tucked out of the way. It'd be way higher than where it is now and not raise any eyebrows from the federales.

Drove 1500 miles home, 200 miles in Moab and plate never moved unless I moved it.
