Received my new truck build date -

I love my 2019 XLT loaded Ranger and the ease of parking a smaller truck but never really got comfy in the seats and smaller short bed so with the used prices being good & having very low milage I ordered a new 2022 F150 V8 Lariat exactly the way I want it back in January and now I was informed it is about be be built. Never in my life have I done this. I generally pick out something on the dealer's lot and start negotiating on price. This time I got exactly what I want and nothing I don't - thus I will be trading in. If any one wants a Hard Tri fold tonneau cover within driving distance to western WA state - I'll have one in perfect shape for reasonable price. Cover SOLD.

Congratulations on the new F-150. I've bought one vehicle off the lot since 1986, and that was because it had everything I wanted. You don't get that instant gratification of a new vehicle, but you get the gratification of getting a new vehicle exactly how you want. And, that makes it much better.

Congrats Dar! I ordered most of my F150 for business when I was back east and it's nice to get exactly what you want. They do have a lot more interior room than the Ranger but I like the Ranger for every day driving and parking in tighter areas. Hopefully it comes in with all the chips as some are getting deleted with the shortages. Good luck with it!!

Thanks - My build is pretty simple with a basic Lariat (Leather and console) package with towing + V8 so hopefully few issues. NO Stop start chip is all I am aware of. Hopefully no under carraige rust either as I will be taking delivery within weeks of production. Not a truck that sat waiting for parts/chips rusting out in the field of 1000's. I am going to miss the easy park ability and scooting around like a go cart in sport mode but able to climb into the larger bed with leather seats and memory controls will be on the plus side besides getting back all the money on the 2019 Ranger towards the new 22 model will be like I drove this free for nearly 3 years.. If things go sideways with trade in I will be keeping it and staying aboard and then shopping for extended warranty! We'll see!

2 weeks out and still no update on production but the cover has a new home!
