I believe the weight was around 60 lbs, the majority of that weight being in the "arch" portion of the Wildtrak sports bar. Also mine came in 3 pieces, the 2 black side rails which the silver "insert" actually pops off to reveal what appeared to be bolt down holes (drilling the Ranger appears likely) and the "arch" which has the third brake light and wiring (no cargo bed lights). The whole unit itself felt sturdy.

For assembly from what I recall the Wildtrak sports bar arch connects to its side rails, and all three parts have their own bolt down holes. The arch appeared visually to use the same bolts holes present on our Ranger for our US-spec sports bar. Personally it made me wonder if Ford simply reused the sheet metal stamping from the international Ranger to save cost and only modified and/or created new sheet metal for sections for aesthetic or US/Canada regulatory purposes.

I actually found the whole thing interesting lol.

Yeah, I really liked the Wildtrak I was looking at in Norway and was hoping for that option in the US when Ford stated the Ranger was returning. Was disappointed we didn't get that option. Looking at those ROW, the "easiest" way to add that Wildtrak chase bar would be to by the whole bed. But then the bed's wheel wells don't match the fender's wheel wells., so you need ROW fenders too, which then goings into a full front-end conversion. But, while the easiest way, it would not be cheap. If I was a lotto winner and unemployed, I would look into doing it just to be busy with something.

It is a shame Ford didn't offer Ranger owners to 3D print stuff like they apparently are offering to Maverick owners. Someone could just take the Wildtrak sports bar as a template and tweak it for our US/Can-spec Rangers, keep it simple as one unit and having a cut-out for the third brake/cargo lights can be visible and installing it by perhaps taking off the plastic bed rail caps and putting the Wildtrak sports bar in place. Just a thought.

At least with my project I can confirm the Wildtrak running boards, roof rails and decals where able to be installed. The roof rails require some adjusting due to the airbags etc but it is doable, and the "Ranger" font decals for the tailgate won't fit ours since we have "Ranger" stamped into our tailgate. Worth nothing the Wildtrak 18" rims are carried over to our Rangers just Ford made the center cap hole slight smaller and did them in silver and not that Magnetic Gray.

Overall all I am quite happy with my project even despite the compromises I had to make. I'll just call it a Ford Ranger Wildtrak "North American Edition" lol.
