Every one complaining about garage size needs to move out west where you can buy a big ole portable building and dump on your property without any paperwork. Well I mean unless you disagree with the populace in which case move to California and pay a million dollars for a shed.
I am sure you meant this in jest. As, this is not a viable option for probably 99.9% of people. Given the prevalence of HOAs along with residential lot sizes and zoning. Also most older garages were built with the standard 7 foot high garage doors and not sized to also be storage for the proliferation of yard tools and toys we accumulate.

Even the current Ranger at stock ride hight can be marginal in many current attached garages. Not even talking about lifts, levels, bigger tires, racks, RTTs and the like.

Me neither! I had my share of it when I was back east and had 3 acres. I love the privacy but it's a lot of work (and money) to have a nice yard and now I like the simplicity of having an easy stone yard for the past 12 years.
I have invited all my neighbors who like yardwork and don't get enough if it to come over to my property anytime for additional therapy... ?

Just as an aside to my 1/2 ton payload 'slight rant'.

I've been very casually browsing local dealers for an F150 PowerBoost (Because they make awesome trucks for RV'ing with the onboard Pro-Power).

Witness the below truck:

Ford has a nifty online tool that will tell you the payload of a specific truck with the VIN.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. This isn't a truck. This is a 4 door sedan with an uncovered trunk that sits up high.

You'll never get this tow rating out of it.

I just find it amusing how porky they can get.
To play devils advocate, yes you can tow that. Empty truck and driver only. Maybe a large slushy too.

I think the tow rating equation has a 150 lb driver and a 150lb passenger and a full tank of gas. Other than that nothing in the truck. So be carful with the slushy. ?

Heck! I haven't weighed 150lbs since high school, and that's 53 years ago.

It's what I did. I guess I'm the 0.01%.

My two car garage in my 1975 Florida retirement house is 21 by 24 feet.
I bought a 2005 Ranger in 2011 just cause I have always had a utility vehicle. I tow a camper, haul boat stuff, tow a boat, and haul home repair stuff. This August I got a 2019 scab lariat because I want to tow a larger camper.
The Ranger is big enough so I don’t need a halfton. If I can’t tow it with this truck, I don’t want to tow it!
had a bunch of E150s and would prefer the van, but they are hard to get.
This guy explains why garages are so small.

Yup, My Ranger is the same size as my '96 F150. I hate to see what they'll be in another 28 years.
WELL, since you won't eat your KIELBASA, you won't live long enough to find out :^)

OK, I hope you live that long even though you don't.

I eventually had the front yard rocked to replace the grass and in the back yard a flagstone patio...made life easier... :sun:
My place in AZ had a small strip of grass out front (HOA maintained) but I had the entire backyard (small) covered in interlocking paving stones - a few flower beds on drippers with a timer but no grass. Although I got a kick out of the semi-annual switch over from summer to winter grass (rye to fescue or whatever it was), there was no way I was about to take that on.

When we were looking for homes with small lots (to minimize yardwork) the majority of them had HOA's but fortunately able to find this one in a good location without it. Heard a lot of stories about the problems with HOA's.
