Are there any codes that get displayed on the dash in the event of a pending or actual transmission, turbo, etc. failure?

Is there a listing of all the Forescan codes and what they mean?

Thanks

If you have a DTC code, either stored or active, Forscan will give you the meaning of the code.

Sure, yeah, got that. Thanks.
I'm wondering if there are specific codes for the transmission.. and the turbo.. and what those codes are.

There are DTCs (Error codes) stored in the trucks memory, and some of the more serious ones will show up on the dash with a yellow wrench, for instance.

But I had serious transmissions issues and nothing ever was registered. NOTHING. I have a feeling that by the time you see that DTC, your transmission is toast, and is going to require serious service.

If you are having shifting symptoms, change the fluid and add LubeGard. It fixed my very serious transmission issues, and it was immediate. going on 9K miles since the fluid changes took place without a hiccup. Shifts as smooth as when it was new.

If you plan in keeping the truck for a length of time change the transmission fluid at regular intervals or the first sign of strange behavior like slow or hard shifts... AND DON'T WAIT!

If you are handy. install the MBS Dipstick (Fitzstick), and invest in a $20 transfer pump. Doing so will allow you to complete the job in an hour without crawling under the truck or spilling fluid everywhere. The MBS dipstick even comes with a custom hands free funnel designed specifically for the Ranger and the MBS dipstick. Great quality and a requirement if you intend to keep your Ranger.

Lift the hood, pull out the dipstick, insert the hose into the dipstick tube down to the bottom of the pan, put the output hose into a empty milk jug (have two of them and mark them at 1 quart intervals). Once empty put exactly the same amount of fluid in that you took out. And leave room for the LubeGard Platinum.

Your done! And that $20 transfer pump comes with the hoses too!

I'm 70 years old and doing it in that timeframe. It's easier than changing the oil, and not as messy.

There is (approximately) around 1,000 codes that can be shown between:
P, B, C and U codes, the vast majority of the codes you will never see.

The biggest issues DPFE and Transmission have been failing and not throwing codes for the vast majority of the complaints. - Symptoms (Only)
However the Clicking / Snapping for the Temperature (Blend) actuators are coding.
