Last week my radio stopped working, at first it made loud noises threw the speaker and cut off, I tried all the features but nothing worked, checked all the fuses nothing worked, 2 days later it came back on for an hour or so gave a loud crack and cut out again, 2 days later it came back on with a bit of crackle , I am scared to use it as it might short out or worse. Also at the same time the drivers window stopped working properly, it does not automatically go up and down only constant pressure on the switch. Has anyone else had a problem like this? What can I do? Where do I start looking? Thanks Dag.

There is a procedure in the owner's manual on how to reset the driver's side power window auto up/down. This needs to be done after disconnecting the battery.

For the window just lower it and hold the button for 10 seconds when down. Then raise it while holding the button for another 10 seconds when up. This should reset the auto window

Do you park your truck outside? Maybe a rodent got hungry
At the moment I am traveling around Australia with a caravan and would like music, no sign of rodents,

Thanks Bill where in the manual is it?
It is in the Windows and Mirrors section.

Resetting the Memory of the
Electric Windows - Vehicle with
One Touch Up/Down on Driver
Side only
Note: The bounce back feature remains
turned off until you reset the memory.
In the event of a flat battery or after the
battery is disconnected from the vehicle,
you must reset the memory for the driver
window.
1. Open the window and then try to close
it using the one-touch feature.
2. Lift and hold the switch to the second
action point until you fully close the
window.
3. Lift and hold the switch for more than
two seconds and release.
4. Open the window using the first action
point and try to close it automatically
using the second action point.
5. If the window does not open or close
automatically when you press the
switch or lift it to the second action
point, repeat the procedure.

For both issues (tied together) and assuming the ROW is the same as the US Version

1. Charging Issue - Battery Voltage (Low)
2. Loose Battery Terminal (Bad Connection - Improper Voltage)
3. Loose Connection - Feed down to the High Current Battery Junction Box - Feeding the 125 Amp Fuse for the BCM
The High Current Box is buried below the BJB and is not visible unless you remove the BJB

Connection C - Feeds down to the High Current Fuse Box, check this for security

Out of curiosity - The Definition of Caravan (Does this include any Off-Roading) and driving through deep water? or have you driven through a very heavy rain (recently)?

If (YES) then most likely you have water ingress into the BJB or High Current Fuse Box, a possible source of your issue.

I am basing my (T/Shoot) of Fuse 2 (BCM 125-Amp) on the fact that in the circuit run, the first 2 (High Amperage) draws from the circuit are the - Drivers Window Switch (30 Amp Fused) and the AMP (which has 2 ea. 20 Amp Fused circuits)

So, it appears the BCM is dropping power and is something that may be the issue if not battery (low voltage) related.
Now it is possible you have an issue with the AMP itself, but it would most likely blow the 2-fuses that feed it first.

Note: Location may not be the same for ROW Ranger (Fuse #'s)

BCM:
Fuse 5 & Fuse 28 (Amp) (20 Amp Fuses)

Window (Drivers) Switch
BCM - Fuse 25 (30 Amp Fuse)

The OP states that he lost driver's window auto up/down, but still works when he holds the switch. That sounds like he disconnected the battery, and the window auto function has to be reset.

It seems that he has two separate problems, the window should be easily resolved.

A true possibility, but since he stated the issues happening at the same time is the factor.
The window needing reset is from a power loss from the BCM and it was not stated fuses were pulled or battery disconnected.
So this is why I am looking for a bad connection or battery.

I also have a warning on my screen saying I must connect to WiFi to update. This came up one other time and I took it to my Ford dealership and they touched the screen I don't know what he did, and it was gone . Did he reset back to factory settings? The time that happened the key would not work as well. Thanks Dag
