2021 Ranger Lariat. Radio will not remember the Source on start-up. It defaults to AM, so I have to navigate to the Source / Sirius / FM, etc.

I also keep getting the Ford permission request to send data, so there is some type of memory issue. The radio does remember individual channel settings, so the memory is not completely gone. Have done multiple resets.

Any ideas?

Does not matter if the ignition is off for 1 minute or all night.

Thanks.

I started having the same problem on my 2019. On startup it either says no Radio ID or it starts on AM radio. Memory channels are still there.

Similar Sync3 issues have been discussed at length in multiple threads. Fix is to update to the newest release of Sync3 that was just released if it is available to you on the Ford website. If not available, you can consider getting it from Cyan Labs as an alternative.
