You have 1,202 reasons to call Carvana back:Carmax gave me an offer yesterday of $37,800, I paid $36,600 18 months ago. I'm seriously considering it, while I like the Ranger everyone else complains about the space/ride. I have a Bronco reservation so I'm trying to figure out what to do next.
I also hardly drive it, the only thing I need it for now is to tow the jetski and mower. I think I could do either with almost anything.
I never agreed with that. I don't treat women like they're handicapped. My wife is intelligent and can stand up for herself. We just celebrated 36 years. Your results may vary. That's good. In another 14 you'll realize that she WAS right 100% of the time and your two word vocabulary works... " yes dear".?
The mav looks sweet.I’d hang in there a bit longer and then get a Maverick. Then you get a ride with nice mileage that doesn’t break the bank and is new. Also gets the wife nod!
Her Atlas already has a hitch and receiver and the towing package from VW which is rated at 5,000lbs and is more than enough for our lifestyle lolI've had a truck for decades, and still I bought a trailer for most truck duties.
Even if you have to add a hitch to the SUV, you can replace the Ranger capabilities under $2K even in Canada. Spend $1500USD on a hitch and trailer for the SUV, then you have a truck whenever she needs one.
Sell the Ranger, buy whatever makes you smile.
Left side behind the truck. Under 400 lbs, easy to move around by hand or the hitch I put on my lawn tractor. 5x8 bed 1600lb payload....awesome.

Just a thought, if the SUV becomes your only means of transportation and breaks down. You have a family with no way to get anywhere. So I've been having a serious discussion with my wife about selling my Ranger... Not because I don't love it, but because I work from home now, and it only gets driven once or twice a week. Whenever we go somewhere as a family we take her full size SUV. I also stand to make 6-10k off selling the truck, and would just use that to buy something cheap for driving to church on Wednesday's and Sundays. I'm also struggling with the idea of making monthly payments on a vehicle that sits 75-80% of the time.... It's not a financial problem, it's just a penny pincher problem lol..... Thoughts?
BTW > My wife is against the idea lol.... she thinks I just want something different (while this is true, I could just pay cash for something different if I really wanted to) and wants the truck for "when we need a truck" which has been twice in the year we've had the ranger.
Sell it.I had a similar situation but on my GT500. Bought it six months ago but for me it was purely a toy/weekend driver. I could not pass up $8,000 over what I paid.
That being said, I have a car, well truck, to drive. Not having a vehicle for the both of us would be too inconvenient. I am recently retired and we could make it work, but not worth the hassle.
If it's not a money deal, keep the truck.
I needed to add that the prices on used are high right now buying and selling as we all know. If you sell you will have to buy used and guess what, those prices are high thus you getting that much for your used truck.
