Cool. How do you access the area? What street?
Just take SW 344 street towards the Speedway and continue behind it. Pretty much across from the rear entrance you will see the dirt road heading south.

There isn’t much out there. Well isn’t much from what I drove through. There were areas that went deeper into wooded/muddy areas, but my brothers truck was too large to follow. And with him having the winch, I didn’t want to risk it.

If I had a winch and my recovery gear on me I would have definitely tried those bog holes. Even a pair of maxtrax would have given me a boost of confidence, but it wasn’t worth the doubt of going at it alone, even though I think the Ranger could have handled it.

I feel you. It's for similar reasons that I'm seriously considering getting an 'offroad' bumper/winch combination before heading out west this summer. with a winch and all those trees around, exploring that trail would have been much less of a source of worry. Thanks for the pics.

Spent yesterday afternoon in the Laramie Range south of Casper, WY. I am impressed with the trail mangement features of this truck. Hit 27 degrees per the inclinometer on a combo of mud, loose rock, and some slab. It just walked right up. It is stock except for BFG KO2's in 265/70/17 in a C load rating. My previous truck was a 2011 Frontier Pro4x. It was fine but with the trail control features there is no comparison. Somrthing else I really like is the ability to use the locker in 4 hi and 2wd. couldnt do this with the frontier only usable in 4lo.

Had a quick run up the mountain with a few local guys yesterday. GLaDOS looks super small in stock config compared to the lifted counterparts.

Took a little offroading trip this morning. I flexed this stock XLT to the max... just tires and skills. No need for traction control, just a good spotter and know your trucks limits. Ford made a beast here, more to come. Here are some photos, sorry about the jeep pic, but anything they can do we can do better. Link from my brother in laws Youtube page.
