Took the truck on its first off-road outing along with my brother and his big red barn(power wagon). Nothing too crazy, mostly just watered down gravel roads.

So had my first real test on the trails this weekend. Headed out with my son to camp and test out the new truck. Camping was great, little rain and a nice breeze to dry everything out. Woke up in the morning and got to the real work. Trail definitely tested m comfort. I got to start teaching my son how to spot and got to use 4 wheel low, the rear lockers and the sliders. Didn't get pics of every challenge and unfortunately not the worst of what we did, but did get to give it a full test.

This was right behind Homestead-Miami Speedway. There were a few other people out there, but mostly on four wheelers.

Cool. How do you access the area? What street?

Just take SW 344 street towards the Speedway and continue behind it. Pretty much across from the rear entrance you will see the dirt road heading south.

There isn’t much out there. Well isn’t much from what I drove through. There were areas that went deeper into wooded/muddy areas, but my brothers truck was too large to follow. And with him having the winch, I didn’t want to risk it.

If I had a winch and my recovery gear on me I would have definitely tried those bog holes. Even a pair of maxtrax would have given me a boost of confidence, but it wasn’t worth the doubt of going at it alone, even though I think the Ranger could have handled it.

I feel you. It's for similar reasons that I'm seriously considering getting an 'offroad' bumper/winch combination before heading out west this summer. with a winch and all those trees around, exploring that trail would have been much less of a source of worry. Thanks for the pics.
