That happened 3 times to me. The first time, a firefighters wife left a note on my car with insurance info and an apology. The last 2 hit and run. A least there is very few honest people left.

This is really maddening. I always try to park in the most distant, deserted parts of the lot as possible, and so far so good, but you really can never be sure that some idiot will not hit you at some point. I hope they catch that guy (or gal) and throw the book at him (or her)!

I catch hell from my kids and wife about where I park. But I've had never the hit and run on a parking lot...carts or whatever. I was at Publix a few weeks back...actually saw a hit and run from a 150 against a Mazda SUV. I took pics, approached the driver (who saw me), so he went inside the store. I shared the pics with management. Don't know the outcome...but I hope he (150) got his.

I have this strange superpower that no matter where I park, in the back corner of any parking lot without a car within 10 spaces of me, when I come back out, there will be cars parked on either side of me. Its maddening. Trailhead parking is the same way. I'll be one of the first cars in the lot, park away from the trail and will come back from the hike with cars parked next to me. Rest of the lot will be empty. Why? WHY!?

I know exactly how you feel. Now, if it's just me, I'll park in a regular spot & try to blend in (as if!), & pray. If my husband's with me, I park as far away as possible!

1: It’s dashcam time

2: With a repair quote of almost $1k, I would watch a couple ChrisFix videos on YouTube for fixing this, buy they factory paint and materials and attempt it myself.

Well their not cheap to fix!! Ran into my Home Depot for a battery for my tractor, 10 minutes later scraped and scratched, dented front fender! Hit and run, video shows partial plates to a Ford pickup with a utility bed in white! $978 to fix it!

Hey, Grab yourself a set of fender flares from the Ford website! They are easy to install and look great on your Ranger. Plus it will cover the damage right up.
