If this type of post is not allowed here, I apologize and will accept whatever the Moderators decide should happen.

I posted my 2022 Ranger for sale here in the forums 2 months ago. There hasn't been a single comment or question on her. I just reduced the price $2000 in the hopes that somebody might see the deal and take advantage of it, or, as a minimum, pass it along to somebody looking for a nice used truck. It is at the minimum market value for just the truck itself even though it has a custom cap and several nice add-ons included.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I am all ears!

To be fair, most of us have Rangers on here eh. Personally, I would do the Carmax thing online and see what their offer comes out as. We've sold one to them and bought one from them and they always appear to make the fairest offers. Plus the process is very quick once the price is agreed.

Yup, agree.
To the OP...you have to remember, it would take someone with $30 plus grand cash to buy yours of to have pre approval, and if your lucky be in your area. But, if not in your area, someone would have to travel, and then have to deal with transferring out of state titles, taxes, ect.
Like me....I'm in Virginia, and even if price was good, looking a plane tickets, drive back home, transfers and paying taxes here when I return....
Just easier for me to buy local.
Carmax/Carvana may be your best shot....may get a bit less than your asking, but they do all the legwork/transfers/pickup, ect.

Thanks for the comment. I have offered to reduce the price of the truck equal to what it costs to travel here to purchase it.

Try facebook I sold my F150 to a guy five hours away within 30 minutes of posting it. It was a 2018 XLT 4x4 amazing how stuff sells on there. I will never trade a vehicle in again.

Put it on Facebook marketplace. You’ll have tons of people interested, just ignore the 100 low ball offers and trades for junk. I just sold 2 dirt bikes within a week

You're looking for a pretty select market for the truck, I would try Facebook Marketplace to at least get someone to come look at it. Does it have a transferable extended warranty?

For reference, I paid less than your asking price for a 2023 Lariat Tremor with warranty coverage until 2030 or 125k miles, 4 months ago.

I out it on FB the same time I put it on here. Only got a single crazy lowball offer in total. Nothing other than that at all.

Here are a few observations based strictly on my preferences, so take from them what you will.

At a macro level, a 33K-mile Lariat SuperCrew (a generally more expensive configuration) in good cosmetic shape can be purchased from a dealer in my area (MA) for $34K. The dealer will take my trade-in, which reduces my sales tax, and can handle all the logistics of the deal. Private sale prices would be a couple of thousand lower. The link below is based on SuperCrew models because there are no Lariat SCabs to be had around here, it seems.

Your truck offers some add-ons that are incorporated into your price. The problem with that is that people don't necessarily want to pay for things they wouldn't have added on their own. In addition, they may not like some of what you've added (I'd get rid of the seat covers, personally, so I wouldn't be willing to pay you for them being there).

I purchased my 2020 Lariat SuperCab in December for $30K with 34K miles. I traded in a 2022 Maverick XLT so only had a $5.5K difference after everything was factored in. It would have been hard to match that if I had to sell the Maverick privately and take the sales tax hit on the Ranger. Just something to keep in mind.

The value of your add-ins, IMHO, is to serve as tie-breakers between your truck and a more stock unit. Your truck is more attractive if the buyer is getting some nice extras for about the same money as the stock unit.

You've offered a price concession for someone who travels to buy your truck, but that likely means they have to buy it sight-unseen in order to have it registered and insured so they can drive it home. An out-of-state dealer could probably provide them with a temporary reg if they came to see the truck and decided to take it. A private seller can't offer that convenience, so your price concession may not offset the risk factor for many buyers.

You’re selling to people that have them, most anyway. Check out sales sites and also maybe carsandbids.com - mostly cars but a fair number of trucks and I don’t see Rangers often

when I bought mine it had 13k on it, just the way it sits, custom aftermarket everything from a dealer in MD for
$31k I had offered $28k he was asking $42, I didnt mind pising him off with a lowball thinking he really needed the money he would take it....
now a year later knowing what we know about the Tranny not sure I want one at even $28k unless its a Raptor?
