New tires installed affecting lane keeping assist

This is directly out of the owners manual. And it is the problem I’m experiencing so I would have to lay blame on the tire change as stated in the manual.

Also, this is something I noticed directly after changing the tires. Not days later and it was working fine with the stock tires.

i wonder if the dealer will say getting new tires voids the warranty?

Out of curiosity for all of us, what new tire did you go to?

What was the OEM tire you replaced? Was it the Bridgestone Duelers or Hankook Dynapros?

I went from the stock Bridgestone duelers 255/65/17 to the Michelin defender 265/65/17 which is what the FX4 Ranger comes with stock. I have the XLT 4x4.

If it was me (because I did this immediately when I bought my truck), I'd turn most of those lane keeping assist warning nanny things off and enjoy driving my truck without all that distraction.

When I need new tires I'm aiming to do what you did and just go a size wider. How do you like those Michelins against the Bridgestones? Lots of knowledgeable people on this forum recommend them, I think.

FX4 comes with Hankook Dynapro AT-M (unless Ford changed recently). I am still stumped at your experience though, should not be noticable at a minor change like that.

When the owners manual says things like tires and suspension have been changed from oem parts is simply fords way of skirting warranty claims and passing the buck. I changed shocks on my 5g and dealer told me it voided the warranty for my transmission lol...

EJH I meant the size of the tire not the brand is what comes stock on the FX4. No way ford is gonna put Michelin defenders on from the factory. They put the cheapest tires possible. I couldn’t even get 40,000 miles out of my stock Bridgestones. Garbage.
