Put new G3’s on my 21 Tremor 265 70 17 XL. Great road biased all terrains. No rock crawling around here (?) so I went lighter duty. Dead quiet except for a low tone at 70-75mph. Much quieter than my stock LT C Grabbers which were moderately loud and had cyclical hum. Nitto G3’s are By far the best balanced tires I’ve ever had )including Michelin Defenders. 3 tires required no weights to (Road Force) balance and one took a single skinny little 10 wt. Amazing Quality control if they are all this good! They never tipped over or rolled in garage before I got them mounted.
Some neat technology in these (dimple sipes, reinforced lugs, yada). I almost bought Cooper Road and Trail before I found these. Had last generation cooper’s on my 4Runner- good tires but they used to flat spot in winter which annoyed me (always worked out in first 1/2 mile though).
These G3’s in my XL size are about 5% heavier than coopers would have been and about 10% lighter than my LT C Generals. So far they Work very well in snow, although I haven’t driven them enough to tell if they are as good as the Generals in snow (Generals were awesome). They also feel like there is less rolling resistance and steer great- I expect to pick up a 0.5-1 mpg with these.
if you are interested in a more road focussed AT they are worth a look.
