Put new G3’s on my 21 Tremor 265 70 17 XL. Great road biased all terrains. No rock crawling around here (?) so I went lighter duty. Dead quiet except for a low tone at 70-75mph. Much quieter than my stock LT C Grabbers which were moderately loud and had cyclical hum. Nitto G3’s are By far the best balanced tires I’ve ever had )including Michelin Defenders. 3 tires required no weights to (Road Force) balance and one took a single skinny little 10 wt. Amazing Quality control if they are all this good! They never tipped over or rolled in garage before I got them mounted.

Some neat technology in these (dimple sipes, reinforced lugs, yada). I almost bought Cooper Road and Trail before I found these. Had last generation cooper’s on my 4Runner- good tires but they used to flat spot in winter which annoyed me (always worked out in first 1/2 mile though).

These G3’s in my XL size are about 5% heavier than coopers would have been and about 10% lighter than my LT C Generals. So far they Work very well in snow, although I haven’t driven them enough to tell if they are as good as the Generals in snow (Generals were awesome). They also feel like there is less rolling resistance and steer great- I expect to pick up a 0.5-1 mpg with these.

if you are interested in a more road focussed AT they are worth a look.

Nittos have always been my go to truck replacement. Even did mud grapplers once. No drone with those, just noise.

Do you have a picture with them mounted on the truck?

And how do you compare the stiffness on the road to the Grabbers in load C? Looking for a new set soon to replace the Grabbers on my Tremor too and I would like to get away from an LT, since I don't go offroad much and complaint about how stiff they are on the road.

I just had these mounted on my 2022 FX4 last week. I stayed with the stock size (265-65-17). These look to be a great all around tire.

Here ya go. We are in deep freeze now (Stowe Vt) so its constant salt and filth (snows a couple inches every day without a snow storm. Maybe we’ll get a nor’easter this weekend and get a decent dump! ?the air mass is set up for it.)

I had Michelin Defenders before and they are beautiful street tires, surprisingly good laterally in snow but no where near these G3’s laterally or in acceleration /stopping. Plus I had Defenders on two trucks and i got nails and screws in them 3 times. Probably coincidence but in my mind they are nail magnets! ? If snow and occasional off roading werent an issue I might go Continental Terrain Contact AT. Good luck , there are lots of good choices.

G3’s might ride a bit softer, but not really much difference in my experience ( I put Eibachs on my truck which are slightly less supple than the Fox 2.0’s anyway). Ihad no issues with ride of the General ATX’s. The G3’s do feel to have a bit less rolling resistance on dry pavement.

Im running 33 psi which is what an on line pressure conversion calculator came up with to go from 39 psi LT C (ATX’s) to 265 75 17 XL (G3’s I bought). I havent done any chalk test as yet, But 33 psi seems reasonable.

G3’s have dots on sidewall next to where the valve on wheel is supposed to go when mounting.
