Frenchy mentioned the Hankook Dynapro - which were OEM on my Ranger, checked the pricing on Dynapro when I needed new tires and IMO for the price it's a decent tire. End up with Falken AT3w XL, pretty stiff ride now and lost 1 ~ 2 mpg , but surprisingly the AT3w don't handle corners as well (understeer) and as expected they are noisier. But have gone off road and the Falkens impressed.

BTW - saw an article about lots of complaints about the new Yota Tundra chewing up the new Falken AT4 , apparently there are some alignment issues but also the OEM tires Falken puts on the Tundra aren't as good a aftermarket Wildpeaks - not unusual, Goodyear was known for that. Not sure if Hankook does the same but there have been posts on here about people getting well over 50k miles on their oem Dynapros. I got to 35k.

"Moonki Cho, product manager, Hankook Tire America Corp.: 3PMS is the industry standard when it comes to grading a tire’s performance in severe snow conditions. Through a grading process known as the ASTM F1805-20 testing method, this procedure enables the accurate measurement of the driving traction of a tire while traveling in a straight line on snow- or ice covered surfaces. In order to obtain a 3PMS symbol and meet U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) requirements, a tire must achieve a traction performance index of 110 or higher. At Hankook Tire, we conduct the test through an authorized external assessment authority. "

On my 2016 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner I managed to get close to 54,000 miles on the OEM Set of ATM's. To say the least they were indeed bald at the end. I went ahead and put a second set on after that. My main complaint with those was the fact they had a magnetic field around them and picked up Nails and Screws all the time!!

interesting as in the last 1k of my Hankooks I picked up 2 flats - one a nail , the other a 3/8" bolt, the latter happened while towing and finished the trip with the spare.
