New Bakflip MX 4 Cover

Just finished installing the Bakflip MX cover on my 2019 Lariat with the 6 foot bed. It was a bit fussy to install with "Ranger" specific additions to the installation but I got it done and it really looks good. It cost me about $870 with free shipping and no tax from Tonneau Factory Outlet. It musty have cost a pretty penny to ship because the freaking box weighed a ton. Hoping it will hold up.

As far as durability, I bought a Bakflip G2 in 2010 for my 2010 Ram, then swapped it to my 2013 Ram, and had it on there until I traded it, in May 2019. It was sat outside in the hot Texas sun for 3 yrs, as well as in Colorado for 14 months. After that, it was garaged until I traded it. The only issue I had was the front seal (that flaps over the bulkhead at the front of the bed) came loose. I ordered a new one and installed it. It was beginning to show it's age, but it was almost 10 yrs old....paint was a little faded and the rubber was starting to get dull, but not cracked. I now have the same model (G2) on my Ranger since new. I do wish I would have gotten the MX, just so I didn't have to lift the tonneau to close the tailgate. But other than that, no regrets.

I bought mine about a month ago and it has been installed for 2-3 weeks. I ended up installing the entire thing without ever using the included brackets for the ranger. Mine still ended up water tight and functional so i'm really unsure what the additional hardware was for?

I installed mine in July. Small issue with a broken corner bracket but Bak sent a replacement. Take your time and you will be pleased 2020XLT. Do lay out everything though, as the OP is right—the Ranger specific instructions are a little less than clear at first.

You are spot on for unclear install instructions. When I did my Revolver MX4, they tossed the Ranger stuff in the bottom, so finished the install only to find the head board brace and little rubber expanding thread holes... I had to remove the whole thing and start over. I figured out what the little rubber pieces did as well as these pieces of textured tape. Revolver is perfect for me, but instructions are clear as mud. Have had mine on for year and half. Every time at Home Depot I get asked where I got the toneau cover. Folks has never seen a roll up hard cover.

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I ordered my MX4 from Tonneau Factory Outlet. I have not received an email with shipping info as of this morning. Has anyone else seen this kind of delay from this company? What should I do, reach out to them or keep waiting patiently....

I have had mine on for a year now and love it! I bought the Bakflip and a full BedRug a week or so after purchasing my truck in July '19. It still looks brand new and has held up well.

Living in the foothills of the Cascade mountains outside of Seattle...its seen it's fair share of rain and snow. Minimal leaking while sitting in the rain for weeks. Install was a bit of a pain and I was missing some parts but BaK Industries overnighted the missing parts. I had them in hand in less than 24hrs! Good product and excellent customer service.

I contacted Tonneau Factory Outlet this morning and requested an update on my MX4 order. They told me BAK Industries has at least a 2 week backorder on filling and shipping MX4 orders. 2 weeks down, 2 or more weeks to go......

Another update on my MX4 order from Tonneau Factory Outlet. Received my credit card bill today which included the charge for the cover. BAK says to expect another 2+ weeks before shipment due to manufacturing issues because of Covid 19. I was originally told when order was placed with TFO, that shipment would be in 7 to 10 days, no mention of any delays due to Covid 19. If you are buying any expensive items during the next few months, ask questions about availability before you buy.....
